Losing the baby fat

I’m not sure how much weight I need to lose. I never weighed myself throughout my pregnancy (neither did my midwives – thank you!). But I know this: I was a 6 or 8 tall in Gap jeans before the babe. And now I’m a 10 regular. So I’m wider and shorter. My feet and fingers are also chubbier. My wedding ring still hasn’t come off since a month before Nadia was born.

Despite this (and the fact that I am a health nut fairly obsessed with exercise) I’m going to give myself nine months to tighten up my soft tummy.

Probably the weirdest thing I’ve noticed about postpartum self is there are times I even like the tummy. I never thought I’d say anything like that…but I worked hard for that blossom belly and it’s a sweet reminder. However, I do have another sweet reminder of my pregnancy – my gorgeous girl.

So I’m heading out for my daily walk. This tummy’s on its way out!
